Been quite some time since I updated, but taking the time for any who may even be visiting. Previously, I mentioned beginning work on a story called The Stranded. After making it through one chapter, work got extremely busy cutting my work down. I have now shelved that to return to one I mentioned before, Subject H-13. My reason for this is a simple one, the story has actually grown into something more like a series. Subject H-13 will be the name of the volume as the new (working) title will be The Road To Utopia.
The story will be about a single father and bicycle courier who disappears for a month. When he reappears across the country, strange scars adorn his body and bizarre incidents happen around him until he finds out he has superhuman abilities. Taking up the mantle of a 'comic book hero' will quickly throw him in the middle of a fight between two forces looking to control him.
Like I mentioned before, the book has grown into something bigger in my mind and in notes as every action he takes eventually leads two different worlds down new paths, good and bad. It is basically sci-fi with a little bit of other genres blended in as time passes.
With any luck, I won't flip-flop on this again.
As for Eyes Of The Zombie, I have simply lost my direction on the story and focusing harder on this other story. Have wondered if down the road I can take this short story and expand it into something more. I guess time will tell.
