Writing Update

I've been mulling some things over in my head about my book and it turns out this blog has helped me figure out one thing. The story I planned as my first book is going to be added to in great length and it is a story that means a lot to me and with limited time each day to work, it is proving impossible to do more than a paragraph at a time and get the story the way I want it. So for the time being until I can actually change my work practices to a point I can pour myself into this story days at a time, I am putting my working title One Small Wish on hold. I know the few who have read the works in progress have enjoyed it, but it has evolved in my head and extended out longer and I want to do the story justice.

A bit of good news for me....... I am using an idea I had during the early writing of OSW that I actually want to play with more since starting Eyes Of The Zombie. I think switching to this project as a first book may be a smart move as it will open more creative doors in my head when it comes to character development. The project that I will title for the time being is "The Stranded" and it will center around a different type of apocalypse where it isn't zombies, the earth, meteors or any other things have created chaos, but a mental apocalypse where the few characters in the book (six in the beginning) will wake up after losing three days to find everyone has vanished. I think this will be fun to work on as each character will have their own issues with what has happened, maybe with each other for being here still, and what happenes when they lose the simple luxuries they have taken for granted and morality no longer matters.

As for One Small Wish, I will still pour a slight bit of work into the story just not on a hardcore level.
